Management Training is an active employment integration measure funded by the Employment Service of the Canton of Vaud (SDE) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). It is a commercial practice enterprise of the Lausanne Commercial Employees Association (SEC Lausanne). We are part of the Swiss network of commercial practice businesses, HELVARTIS, organized by its central office, which is itself a member of EUROPEN (the largest global network of commercial practice businesses). Finally, Management Training has been EDUQUA certified since 2005.
Our mission is to help job seekers in the commercial field gain practical experience and update their acquired skills.
We create a win-win situation: On one hand, employers who turn to us for their staffing needs are assured of finding active employees with up-to-date professional skills. On the other hand, our trainees gain expertise and interpersonal skills in line with the requirements of the current job market through their time in our various departments.
The comparison can be made with a flight simulator in aviation. It allows one to gain more proficiency in using flight instruments, to face special or extreme situations, and to anticipate solutions. Similarly, the commercial practice company provides expertise in handling commercial tools while working in a global network of over 5,000 companies alongside the private economy. This is all coordinated by the central office of the commercial practice business network, Helvartis, in Switzerland.
The roles of employee, assistant, project manager, and department head are the positions held in the purchasing, sales, marketing, human resources, accounting, and reception departments.
The skill levels are also complemented by various online evaluation or self-training tools at the workplace, as well as occasional workshops.
